Summertime is an exciting time, full of long days spent outdoors enjoying all the city, and the nature has to offer. Consequently, many of us are wondering what we can do to make the most out of the gorgeous weather. Here are our following tips to make the summer of 2022 a time to remember, and ensure that it is as fun filled as possible! After all, it’s hardly ever sunny in the UK so don’t miss out when it is!
Here are the top ten tips for you to consider these months and make the most of summer:
Try to go on as many trips as possible – This doesn’t necessarily have to involve draining your bank account! Why not plan a trip for the beginning and then end of summer – something to put you in the summer spirit, and then something to look forward to as it comes to a close. This could be anything from a week at a bucket list destination, to a weekend away in a nearby city. After all, money comes back but time doesn’t – so book that ticket!
Never say no to any plans- Whether this be a last minute movie night, or a shopping spree with friends, try to never say no to any plans. This way you will keep busy and not have FOMO!
Meet up with friends and family as much as you can – Summer is a great time to reconnect with family or friends that you haven’t seen in a while, how about hosting a garden party or BBQ?
Spend as much time outdoors as possible- Try going for a picnic, a hike, or even just sit outside to read. Spending time outdoors can do wonders for your physical and mental health, and gives you the chance to see and experience new things.
Wear comfortable clothing so that you can join any activity- It can be tempting to wear that gorgeous black skin tight dress you have been saving in your wardrobe, but try to dress practically for the weather. Why not treat yourself to some new shorts or summer trousers that you can enjoy wearing?
Get enough sleep- Sleep is so important to keep us refreshed and level headed. Why not treat yourself to a few lie ins!
Always have sunscreen at hand – Sunburn is never nice, especially when it can be easily prevented. Make sure you apply sufficient sun cream and seek shade regularly or during peak sunshine hours.
Try to learn something new – Summer is the perfect time to pick up a new hobby, whether this be a new sport you can practise outside or painting – there is no better time to start then the present!
Don’t forget to also have your ‘me-time’ – Although it can be nice to stay busy, it’s important to spend time on your own and have some selfcare time. This could be anything from a nice bubble bath to a trip away on your own – you do you!
Visit a museum – If you are struggling with the heat, why not take yourself off to a local museum and learn some interesting things about your local area and history! This way you can impress your friends at the next get together…
